Mountaineering have one or two day taster courses based in Cumbria, The Lakes, Dales or Peak
District, cutting your teeth on some of the shorter, less intimidating,
more straightforward classic routes. We will cover all the skills necessary to
continue your journey onwards to becoming a safe and competent
Rock Climber. At Capricorn we believe the best way to learn is to
spend as much time out ‘doing’ with client centred learning at the
heart of what we do. We can
give you a tailor made mountaineering experience whether its gill
scrambling, ridge walking, a single pitch climb, multi pitch, mountain scrambling or navigating across the Cairngorm plateau. Whether you are a complete beginner, looking to
improve your skills or require very specific coaching then

Climbing Courses to suit you. You may already have some rock climbing experience and Knowledge, be an indoor climber looking to transfer your skills outside or wish to start leading your own Climbs. Capricorn Mountaineering can coach you in selection and placing runners, constructing belays and teach you how to move more efficiently on the face, conserving valuable strength and avoiding the Pump or sewing machine leg for a safer and even more rewarding experience. We may climb single and multi pitch climbs taking
in some breathtaking scenery and sensational moves whether we are on a
climb in Cumbria, The Lakes, Dales or Peak District you will always have
the added spice of space below your feet. Have you ever fancied the idea of a climbing above the crashing surf then come
on a Sea Cliff climb with us in North Wales
and we’ll visit the great cliffs or Gogarth and climb
