The White Hart in Cumbria offers an ideal bed and breakfast retreat to rest up after a good days rock climbing, fell walking, fishing or cycling or to just relax and get away from it all.

Rarebreed Sirloin Steak
Locally reared 10/12 oz Beef Shorthorn Steak from Abbots Reading Farm.  Pepper or Diane sauce 8 oz jug £1.50 extra.
We cannot guarantee the tenderness of steaks cooked well done
 
Gammon Steak
16 oz gammon steak served with egg or fresh pineapple
 
Home-made Steak and Stout Pie
Tender pieces of lcoally reared Beef Shorthorn with mushroom cooked in a rich stout sauce, with a short pastry crust
 
Cumberland Sausage
Locally made mildly spiced sausage served with our own rich onion gravy
 
Chicken Balti
Authentically spiced balti style sauce, served with basmati rice and warm naan bread
 
Halibut Steak
Seared 8/10 oz Halibut steak with garlic and parsley butter
 
Scampi Thermidor
Whole scampi tails in a cream, spring onion, cheese, garlic and mustard sauce
